Manchin Statement On 17th Anniversary of September 11
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) today issued the following statement on the 17th anniversary of September 11th.
“Seventeen years ago our country was attacked in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania. Our first responders bravely ran in to the flames and our country joined the mothers, fathers and children who wept for their loved ones lost. Today we come together to reflect on that horrific day and remember the lives we lost. It is also important to remember the American spirit that prevailed in the face of such tragedy. American’s came together to show the world that we will not be broken, we are resilient and courageous. On this 17th anniversary, I remind all West Virginians to recommit themselves to service. Service to our country, our community, our neighbors and our families. May God bless us all and may God bless the United States of America.”
